Tran Quoc Bao - Writer, Director

Bao has been making films ever since he realized that he had a great excuse to be anti-social and still be called a genius. Although his work has been shown at many film festivals, film critic Andy Spletzer calls one of them "oddly unresolved," while noted Seattle film curator Warren Etheredge lamented that he "found little to love within the work."

But what do they know? His parents think he's a really great filmmaker. His closest friends tell him he'll certainly be famous and beg to be remembered. If those aren't credentials, what kind of world do we live in? A world that is jealous and petty, eager to crush young dreams in its hunger for misery, and Bao will have no part in it.

In typical Asian fashion, his parents want it to be known that he graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, lest anyone should think that he's uneducated.

And while all of the above quotes are true, you may have noticed none of this biography really tells you anything about Bao. If you really want to know him, don't be scared and just email him. He will write back in the third person.
